Planned 16-Bed Hospital in Illinois Will Fulfill Need for Emergency Services

Operators of the Cairo (Ill.) Megaclinic plan to build a 16-bed hospital wing that will offer 24-hour emergency services that are needed in the community, according to a Southeast Missourian report.

The megaclinic already provides radiology, ambulatory surgery and medical, dental and behavioral health services. The hospital wing, which is expected to open in 2013, will allow community residents to go to the megaclinic for emergency care, rather than drive at least 30 miles away.
