According to the report, the parent company will begin providing centralized back office and administrative support for the two hospitals on that date. All clinical services will remain the same, and patients will not likely to notice any physical changes to either hospital.
Although neither hospital was struggling financially, both felt that integration would increase efficiencies of scale and improve their long-term viability as community healthcare providers, according to the report.
Olean’s president and CEO, Timothy Finan, will serve as CEO for both hospitals, and Bradford’s CEO, George Leonhardt, will serve as senior vice president of planning for Upper Allegheny.
