The 103,000-square-foot facility adds 80 all-private acute-care suites to the medical campus, bringing the total number of beds to 233. Each floor of the pavilion includes an eight-bed intensive care unit step-down unit. The facility also provides additional space for neurosurgery, cardiology and orthopedics, with plans for developing a medical oncology unit in the future, according to the release.
The pavilion is named after Universal Health Services CEO and Chairman of the board Alan B. Miller.
