Akron General Partners With Local Mayor to Build Wellness Center

Akron General Health System in Ohio has formed a partnership with Broadview Heights Mayor Sam Alai to establish a local wellness center that would be built as an extension of the city’s community building, according to a Sun News report.

The city’s new 115,000-square-foot wellness center will include a 24-hour emergency department, on-site diagnostic and laboratory services, fitness programs, gymnasiums, pools and a locker room. Akron General will fund the construction, according to the news report.
