The institute will partner with The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Medical School to bring together researchers, clinicians and educators to improve trauma care, according to the report.
The institute will offer 200 beds and 24-hour emergency and trauma care directed by veteran U.S. colonel John B. Holcomb, MD. Patients will also have access to The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research Memorial Hermann in Houston; Memorial Hermann Life Flight, an ambulance service; and the John S. Dunn Sr. Burn Center at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in Houston.
