JFK Medical Center (Atlantis, Fla.)
The Heart and Vascular Institute at JFK Medical Center has had several medical “firsts” in the cardiology arena — it was the first in the nation to implant a metabolic pacemaker and the first in Florida to use directional coronary atherectomies. The institute includes a dedicated post-interventional unit, which focuses on the care of pre-and post-cardiac intervention patients. In 2014, JFK Medical Center was named one of the country’s 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals by Truven Health Analytics.
