Whitman-Walker awarded $2M for new HIV research facility

Washington, D.C.-based Whitman-Walker Health has been awarded $2 million from the National Institutes of Health’s Office of AIDS Research for a new research center, WTOPS reported Oct. 4.

The research center will be added onto Whitman-Walker’s Max Robinson Center that is currently under construction. It will be 10,000 square feet and include a lab and pharmacy. 

The center is slated to open in 2024.
