King of Prussia, Pa.-based Universal Health Services held a ribbon-cutting ceremony April 30 for its $430 million Alan B. Miller Medical Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

The seven-story, 365,000-square-foot facility is set to start treating patients in May 2026, according to an April 30 news release.

The facility sits on a 34-acre campus, and features 156 private patient rooms, six suites and a design capacity for future expansion.

The hospital is named after Alan Miller, founder and executive chairman of UHS, and father to UHS president and CEO Marc Miller, MD.

Beyond medical care, the hospital is expected to serve as an economic engine for Palm Beach County, with more than 800 jobs created as a result of the project.

“The Alan B. Miller Medical Center symbolizes both the personal legacy of my father and a transformative advancement for healthcare,” Mr. Miller said in the release. “It represents the realization of his vision – grounded in access, service, resilience and community impact. This hospital will serve as a destination for care, combining state-of-the-art technology, integrated services and a patient-centered environment designed to deliver the kind of care he has always said he would want for his own family.”
