The plans call for a new seven-story medical tower and 134-bed critical care building. Part of the project would also re-purpose some of the hospital space. For instance, the hospital’s south tower could be converted into a skilled nursing unit, according to the report.
The construction plan could cost less than $590 million. The hospital’s board of directors gave the green light to present the construction plan to community groups for their feedback.
