Providence said gifts to its family of foundations totaled nearly $500 million in 2025 across its seven-state footprint.
The total was included in Providence’s “2025 Philanthropy Gratitude Report,” released May 7.
“Philanthropy helps us accelerate innovation. It provides capital investment, programmatic growth and stability for our caregivers and physicians,” Providence President and CEO Erik Wexler said in a statement. “It helps bind our healing ministries deeper with the communities we serve by advancing exceptional care and easing the health journey for so many.”
Providence’s 2025 Philanthropy Gratitude Report highlights contributions from 40,413 donors totaling $499.3 million to support research, clinical programs and patient care initiatives across the organization.
The report also includes examples of philanthropic impact at Providence, including the groundbreaking of a new rural health center in Polson, Mont., the establishment of a new cardiovascular hub in Sonoma County, Calif., and a clinical trial validating a new cancer drug in Portland, Ore.
Providence is a 51-hospital system with additional offices in Renton, Wash., and Irvine, Calif.
