The collapse involved an overhang outside the medical center’s emergency department entrance, according to the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service. The ceiling was under construction during the time of the collapse, said Pete Piringer, spokesman for the county fire and rescue service. No injuries were reported.
The ED entrance was not affected and stayed open, according to Mr. Piringer.
