Hartford (Conn.) HealthCare has applied to the Hartford Planning and Zoning Commission to add five new buildings to its existing Hartford Hospital campus. 

Philadelphia-based St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, part of West Reading, Pa.-based Tower Health, has received a commitment for around $30 million in financial support.

The redevelopment of the former Atlanta Medical Center campus is set to begin in the coming weeks, Marietta, Ga.-based Wellstar Health System said in an Oct. 17 news release. 

Sacramento, Calif-based Sutter Health is planning to expand its Elk Grove, Calif., campus with a new 56,000-square-foot specialty care center.  

St. Louis-based SSM Health and Mechanicsburg, Pa.-based Select Medical have formed a joint venture partnership to own and operate a 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Oklahoma City. 

New Orleans-based Ochsner Health has received approval for its zoning requests for its new children's hospital building, nola.com reported Oct. 16.

Minneapolis-based Davis, a healthcare real estate development, investment and management firm, has acquired Plymouth, Minn.-based West Health, a 201,000-square-foot outpatient medical center for $72 million.

St. Louis-based Ascension has shared plans to open a $200 million Indianapolis-based Ascension St. Vincent Women and Infants Hospital on Nov. 16.

Vancouver, Wash.-based PeaceHealth has shared plans to construct a new inpatient behavioral health hospital in Lane County, Ore. in partnership with Lifepoint Rehabilitation, part of Brentwood, Tenn.-based Lifepoint Health.

UNC Health has received a third certificate-of-need conditional approval from North Carolina for a $371.3 million community hospital in Research Triangle Park.
