Orlando (Fla.) Health is expanding with plans for a new hospital in the Wiregrass Ranch community near Tampa, according to a press release. A site plan submitted to Pasco County, Fla., details a 300-bed multistory hospital and wellness campus. 

Tacoma, Wash.-based MultiCare announced plans July 8 to expand the Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, Wash., with an additional 160 inpatient beds. 

St. Louis,-based Ascension St. Vincent's opened its first hospital in St. Johns County, Fla., on July 6, The St. Augustine Record reported.

Several hospital construction projects recently have been completed, announced or advanced. Becker's Hospital Review has reported on these seven since June 16. 

Fort Pierce-based HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital, owned by Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare, opened a $100 million, four-story tower expansion on June 23.
