St. Louis Veterans Administration Health is planning a $1 billion renovation for its St. Louis-based John Cochran Veterans Hospital, St. Louis Public Radio, an NPR affiliate, reported Aug. 2. 

Pullman (Wash.) Regional Hospital staff said a $45 million expansion is necessary to maintain the emergency department and other essential services, according to a July 28 report from the Lewiston Tribune. 

Memorial Hermann Cypress (Texas) Hospital will grow by 185,000 square feet and add more than 500 parking spaces as part of a $71.8 million project it expects to complete in two years, the health system said July 28.

Jersey City (N.J.) Medical Center unveiled a $100 million, 60,000-square-foot expansion of its emergency department, according to a July 28 report from New Jersey Advance Media.

Marietta, Ohio-based Memorial Health System is planning a $20 million, four-story medical center in Athens, Ohio, WOUB, an NPR affiliate, reported July 27. 

Tampa, Fla.-based BayCare plans to open its 17th hospital in Manatee County, Fla., by the end of 2025.
