OhioHealth and Nationwide Children’s broke ground May 6 on a $38.4 million outpatient care center in Ontario, Ohio.
The 42,000-square-foot facility will be on the OhioHealth Ontario Health and Fitness Center campus, according to a May 6 news release.
OhioHealth also plans to renovate and upgrade its current Ontario facility with the development of a specialty care hub, and new providers and care services.
In the new outpatient care center, OhioHealth will provide services such as adult primary care, OB-GYN and advanced imaging. Nationwide Children’s Hospital will provide specialty clinics, laboratory services, radiology, audiology, clinical therapies and primary care.
“This partnership is about meeting families where they are and surrounding them with the care they need,” Libbey Hoang, vice president of planning and business development at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, said in the release. “By expanding our presence in Ontario alongside OhioHealth, we’re able to deliver coordinated, specialized pediatric care in one location, making it easier for children and families to access trusted, nationally recognized expertise without leaving their community.”
