Here are four things to know.
1. Novant Health filed a certificate of need application for a new facility at the Novant Health Clemmons (N.C.) Medical Center campus, according to the report. Wake Forest Baptist separately filed a certificate of need for a new facility at its Davie Medical Center campus in Bermuda Run, N.C.
2. Novant plans to spend $13.1 million on a multispecialty ambulatory surgical center, according to the report. Novant would transfer two operating rooms from Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem and develop a procedure room in Clemmons.
3. Wake Forest Baptist plans to spend $13.7 million to add an operating room and a minor procedure room at the Davie campus in Bermuda Run, the Winston-Salem Journal reports.
4. Chad Setliff, president of Novant’s Clemmons campus, told the Winston-Salem Journal Novant’s project is expected to be completed in mid-2019, if the certificate is awarded by early August.
