Novant Health plans $50M expansion at Huntersville Medical Center

Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health is investing $50 million to expand the Huntersville Medical Center, according to the Charlotte Business Journal.

The expansion will add 60,000 square feet, including one new operating room, and will increase bed capacity by nearly 50 percent, with additional resources dedicated to acute care, adult intensive care and pediatric intensive care.

The project broke ground Wednesday and is anticipated to be completed by April 2019.
