Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health completed its $4.34 million purchase of a former Modern Classic Motors site in Hilton Head, S.C., May 8 to build a $25.3 million medical hub.

The facility will comprise a 25,000-square-foot medical office for potential services like primary care, physical therapy and urology, according to a May 26 news release.

The project will create 50 new jobs and have an additional 15,000-square-feet of medical office space to meet growing community needs. The $25.3 million investment includes land acquisition, construction, equipment and technology.

“We are grateful for the partnership and shared vision with the town of Hilton Head Island as we work to expand access to high-quality care close to home,” Joel Taylor, president of Novant Health’s Hilton Head area, said in the release. “This future medical campus will help meet the growing healthcare needs of residents and visitors while creating jobs and investing in the health and vitality of the community for years to come.”
