The hospital’s 2,000 employees often commute from Columbus, Dayton and Cincinnati. The housing is designed to incentivize employees to relocate.
“As we’ve recruited physicians, recruited nurses, front-line staff, even executives, one of the challenges has been to get folks to relocate to the community,” Mercy Health-Springfield President Adam Groshans told WVXU. “And that creates challenges with retention.”
