Indiana University Health will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony Oct. 29 to celebrate the opening of a new medical tower on the IU Health Fishers (Ind.) campus, according to a media advisory shared with Becker’s.
The health system said the event will include remarks from IU Health and community leaders, as well as guided tours of the new facility, which will expand the Fishers hospital campus by nearly 50%.
The medical tower is part of IU Health’s $300 million Fishers Community Impact Project. In addition to the expansion of the Fishers hospital campus and services, the project broadens offsite, outpatient access to primary care and specialists.
According to the project website, the hospital expansion adds 50 inpatient beds, as well as new and expanded services in OB-GYN, ENT, nephrology, neurology and pulmonology.
The expansion also grows existing cardiovascular, gastroenterology, general medicine, general surgery, orthopedics, primary care (pediatric and adult) and urology programs.
