The new 16,020 square-foot outpatient surgery department will include five operating rooms, 20 patient stations for pre-surgery prep and post-surgery recovery and two consult rooms. The department will also feature two separate waiting rooms — one for adults and one for pediatric patients. The pediatric waiting room will feature “age-appropriate furnishings” and private recovery areas, according to the report.
Construction on the outpatient department is expected to begin shortly, with an expected completion date of Oct. 2010.
