Geisinger Health System Adds $17M to Expansion Project

Danville, Penn.-based Geisinger Health System is investing an additional $17.1 million to the expansion project of Geisinger Community Medical Center, according to a report by The Scranton-Times Tribune.

The additional investment brings the capital funding total to $97.1 million, according to the report.

The $17.1 million will cover the cost of a skybridge and two new hospital floors.

Construction began in summer 2013 and is expected to be completed by summer 2015.
