Lawmakers want to see a change in the health system’s governance and a solid plan of action to ensure Jackson is solvent before committing the funds, according to the report.
Discussions of the state of the troubled health system have come while Florida’s legislature is finding ways to balance the state’s $28 billion health and human services budget. No firm plans for the budget or the $50 million to support Jackson have been proposed so far, according to the report.
