The facility will complement Florida Hospital Winter Garden’s existing freestanding emergency department, which was built in 2016.
“Adding inpatient beds allows us to provide comprehensive services to the residents of Winter Garden and continue to make a positive impact in West Orange County,” Tim Clark, CEO of Florida Hospital Apopka and Winter Garden told the Sentinel.
A construction timeline is in the works, according to hospital officials.
The new hospital is expected to bring 700 jobs to the area.
Florida Hospital Winter Garden recently broke ground on a 72,000-square-foot medical office building last year. The office building will house primary care and specialty practices.
