In January, the state’s healthcare commission unanimously voted to approve plans for the Holy Cross Hospital facility over Adventist HealthCare’s plan for a hospital in Clarksburg. The county planning board’s approval is the latest in a series of regulatory reviews required before construction begins.
The new $202 million, 93-bed Holy Cross Hospital will include a medical office building, 30 private rooms and healing gardens. In addition, the hospital formalized a partnership with Montgomery College, under which the college will provide nursing and clinical care rotations and the hospital will provide full-time faculty to teach courses at the college.
