Irving, Texas-based Christus Health opened a $30 million, 30,000-square-foot hospital in Palestine, Texas, Jan. 29.
The 10-bed inpatient hospital features a 15-bed emergency department and is connected to the Christus Magnolia clinic in Palestine to allow for smooth transitions between emergency care, inpatient services and outpatient visits, according to a Jan. 29 news release shared with Becker’s.
Christus broke ground on the hospital in August 2024, which was then expected to be nearly 20,000 square-feet.
“As part of the Christus Health system, the Palestine facility is fully integrated with a larger network of hospitals and specialists,” the release said. “This connection ensures continuity of care and access to advanced services, while preserving the personal approach patients value.”
Christus Health is an international, faith-based, nonprofit health system that comprises more than 60 hospitals in Louisiana, New Mexico and Texas, as well as Chile, Columbia and Mexico, the release said.
