Dallas-based Baylor Scott & White Health expects to open its first full-service hospital in Austin, Texas, this month, according to ABC affiliate KVUE.

The new campus will house a multispecialty medical clinic and hospital with an emergency department, intensive care unit, medical offices and operating rooms.

"We are thrilled to bring a full-service facility to this community in particular and to bring the Baylor Scott and White integrated care model, which we believe is a model for the future, to help improve the overall health of Austin and to improve the overall healthcare system in general," Jessie Everlie,  director of operations for Baylor Scott and White, told KVUE.
