Phoenix-based Banner Health has acquired seven primary care clinics and two walk-in locations in Colorado from Village Medical.
The acquisition will bring 46 providers and more than 150 support staff under Banner Medical Group, according to a May 1 news release.
The seven clinics, which will be rebranded as Banner Health and be fully integrated into the health system, are located in Fort Collins, Longmont, Lovelace and Windsor.
“We’re thrilled to continue building our strong network of primary care providers to this area,” Steven Loecke, MD, Banner Medical Group’s western division physician executive, said in the release. “Banner is committed to expanding access to care in northern Colorado and ensuring that every patient receives the care they deserve.”
The clinic transition is expected to take a few months. Banner Health already operates more than 30 primary care and specialty clinics in Colorado. It also runs three northern Colorado hospitals: Banner Fort Collins Medical Center, Greeley-based Banner North Colorado Medical Center and Loveland-based Banner McKee Medical Center.
