Charlotte, N.C.-based Atrium Health will open a new hospital in Cornelius, N.C., on July 1.
Four things to know:
1. Atrium Health Lake Norman will include 36 inpatient beds, an eight-bed emergency department, two operating rooms and a dedicated labor and delivery floor.
2. The 171,000-square-foot facility will also feature an on-site laboratory and pharmacy, according to a June 19 news release.
3. A medical office building adjacent to the hospital is slated to open later this year and will offer specialty services, including cardiology, orthopedics and pulmonary care.
4. The project is part of a $1 billion capital expenditure plan Atrium announced in 2018.
