AdventHealth Tampa opens $300M surgical tower

AdventHealth Tampa (Fla.) opened its six-story, $300 million patient and surgical tower Oct. 12.

The 300,000-square-foot tower, called the Taneja Center for Surgery, houses 18 operating rooms and 96 private postsurgical and critical care patient rooms.

The tower was named after the Taneja family, who provided a generous financial gift to the expansion project.

"This is more than a new building at AdventHealth Tampa, the Taneja Center for Surgery is a beacon of medical innovation that brings the best doctors and technology together in one place to provide reimagined care for our community," Denyse Bales-Chubb, president and CEO at AdventHealth Tampa, said in a news release.
