Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based AdventHealth opened a new freestanding emergency room, AdventHealth Ocoee ER, in Orlando, Fla., June 1, bringing its systemwide freestanding ER footprint to 32, with 28 in Florida.
AdventHealth Ocoee ER comprises nine private patient rooms, seven low-acuity treatment bays, respiratory therapy services, advanced diagnostic imaging, an on-site laboratory and an on-site pharmacy, according to a June 1 news release shared with Becker’s.
The freestanding facility also brings approximately 60 clinical and support jobs to the area.
“This emergency room reflects our commitment to listening to and growing alongside this community,” Aimee Keller-Pickford, CEO of AdventHealth Winter Garden, who will oversee AdventHealth Ocoee ER, said in the release. “Our mission calls us to be present for people in their most vulnerable moments, and the AdventHealth Ocoee ER ensures that whole-person care is available close to home when it matters most.”
