Here are five things to know about the facility.
1. Baptist Health and Emerus plan to break ground on the two-story facility this week.
2. The facility will be located in south San Antonio.
3. It will house a comprehensive emergency department, advanced imaging services, inpatient beds and diagnostic laboratory services, according to the San Antonio Express-News.
4. The facility is expected to open in late 2016, making it the he sixth Baptist Emergency Hospital in the greater San Antonio area.
5. The cost of the facility was not disclosed.
