Of the 100 accountable care organizations listed on Becker's Hospital Review's 2013 list of ACOs to Know, 25 are headquartered in the Midwest.

For these purposes, the Midwest is defined as Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
