University of Texas’ Dell Medical School receives accreditation

The University of Texas’ Dell Medical School (Austin) officials announced June 29 that the school has received preliminary accreditation, according to an article in the Austin American-Statesman.

The school has started recruiting and has already received over 1,000 applications.

The first four-year class of medical students is scheduled to enter in the summer of 2016. Officials anticipate the school will receive full accreditation by 2020.

The medical school facility is currently under construction and is set to be finished by 2016, according to a KXAN report.
