HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Breese (Ill.). St. Joseph’s Hospital Breese has served the people of Clinton County for more than 100 years. It employs roughly 320 people and had 1,308 inpatient admissions last year. In addition to being named to Truven Health Analytics’ 100 Top Hospitals list in 2014 and 2015, St. Joseph’s Hospital Breese also received the Truven Health 100 Top Hospitals Everest Award this year, which means that the hospital set benchmarks for the fastest long-term improvement on Truven’s scorecard. Just 17 hospitals earned this distinction last year. The hospital also earned the Patient Safety Excellence and Outstanding Patient Experience awards from Healthgrades every year since 2013.
