LDS Hospital worked to redefine its identify after Intermountain Healthcare moved its flagship services from LDS Hospital to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah, in 2007, according to the report.
LDS Hospital doubled the size of its labor and delivery rooms, added a weight loss surgery program and began offering services to support personalized care. For example, the hospital offers room service, writes thank you cards to each patient and offers laptop check-outs to patients, according to the report.
The hospital also added six beds to its inpatient psychiatric unit, doubled its medical detoxification unit and added a six-bed geriatric unit.
