Vacant positions will be eliminated, and some employees will be laid off. Hospital President Gregory Losasso said the plan will be rolled out within the next few months, noting that “salary and benefits are the largest expense at a hospital,” according to the release.
“It’s important to know that most of these changes have no effect on nursing staffing ratios that directly impact patient care,” Mr. Losasso said in the release.
The hospital has more than 2,000 employees.
