Pennsylvania’s St. Luke’s Hospital-Riverside Investigates Fire in MRI Unit

St. Luke’s Hospital-Riverside in Bethlehem, Pa., is investigating the cause of a fire in the hospital’s MRI unit, according to a Beaver County Times report.

The fire broke out around 7 p.m. Wednesday after a patient had just completed using the MRI. The fire was limited to the MRI unit, but smoke entered other areas of the hospital and patients in the adjacent emergency department were moved to another hospital. No injuries were reported.

The hospital opened in the fall.
