Through the partnership, patients at AdventHealth Gordon in Calhoun, Ga., and Chatsworth, Ga.-based AdventHealth Murray can receive medical care from Erlanger Health neurologists. Using telemedicine technology, Erlanger Health neurologists can assist AdventHealth providers with making stroke diagnoses and offer guidance on medical treatments.
“This tele-neurology collaboration highlights our joined commitment with AdventHealth Gordon and AdventHealth Murray to provide excellent care to those suffering from an acute neurological emergency, such as stroke,” Erlanger Health Telemedicine Administrative Director Matthew Shafer told Chattanoogan. “Telemedicine has proven time and time again to be a powerful tool in expanding lifesaving specialty care throughout a larger region.”
