To avoid confusion, the North Dakota Board of Higher Education voted to rebrand the building Columbia Hall. The university’s recently finished $124 million medical school is located a few blocks from the old facility.

The board also voted to extend the joint lease on the Bismarck-based North Dakota State University Nursing at Stanford Health nursing school and agreed to demolish eight buildings on the UND campus, among other resolutions, according to the report.
