Leonard Hernandez. CEO of Coffey Health System (Burlington, Kan.). Mr. Hernandez was named CEO of Coffey Health System in 2015. He previously spent more than 25 years as a healthcare CEO in rural Kansas, including three years at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington, Kan. Mr. Hernandez also spent nine years as the CEO of Morton County Health System in Elkhart, Kan., and has served on the board of directors for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas. Throughout his career, Mr. Hernandez has championed rural healthcare, serving on the American Hospital Association Regional Policy Board and as a past chairman of the Kansas Hospital Association.
