Whitman Hospital and Medical Center (Colfax, Wash.). Whitman Hospital and Medical Center admitted its first patient May 2, 1893. Today, the hospital serves a 1,200-square-mile district and has been in its current building since 1968. The 25-bed critical access hospital has 47 physicians and roughly 200 employees. iVantage Health Analytics named Whitman Hospital a Top 100 Critical Access Hospital this year. Additionally, the hospital received the Award of Excellence from Qualis Health for its readmission reduction project this year.
