Hammond-Henry Hospital (Geneseo, Ill.). This hospital, located about 150 miles west of Chicago, was founded in 1901. It has undergone major changes throughout its history that spans more than a century. For example, in 2010, Hammond-Henry Hospital broke ground on its $22 million “Designed to be Patient Kind” construction project, which involved remodeling the entire facility. The project was completed in 2012. In addition to being named as an iVantage Health Analytics’ Top 100 Critical Access Hospital in 2014, the hospital also achieved stage 6 on the HIMSS Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model last year.
