William Rutherford. Executive Vice President and CFO 
of Hospital Corporation of America (Nashville, Tenn.).
Mr. Rutherford became executive vice president and CFO of HCA this past January. He oversees financial management within the company’s treasury department, office of the controller, and information technology, among other areas. Most recently, he served as COO of the company’s Physician Services Group. He joined HCA more than 20 years ago as a staff auditor and advanced through various leadership positions, such as CFO of the company’s Eastern Group, CFO of the Outpatient Services Group and COO of Psychiatric Solutions.
