Elizabeth Nabel, MD. President of Brigham and Women’s Hospital (Boston). Since 2010, Dr. Nabel, who is also a professor of medicine at Boston-based Harvard Medical School, has served as president of Brigham and Women’s Hospital. A cardiologist and biomedical researcher, Dr. Nabel was appointed to the newly created role of chief health and medical advisor to the National Football League in 2015. Throughout her career, her work has produced 17 patents and more than 250 scientific publications, and from 2005 to 2009, she served as director of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.
