William Ferniany, PhD. CEO of UAB Health System (Birmingham, Ala.). Dr. Ferniany has been garnering experience as a senior healthcare leader since 1975 and joined the academic medicine sphere in 1998. He took over as CEO of UAB Health System in September 2008, joining the system from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, where he served as associate vice chancellor and CEO.
