University of Washington Medical Center (Seattle). University of Washington Medical Center is the No. 1 hospital in the state, according to U.S. News & World Report's 2015-16 rankings, and is also No. 27 in the nation in orthopedics. Additionally, the hospital was named as high-performing in knee replacement, according to U.S. News' common care ratings. UW Medical Center houses the UW Medicine Hip & Knee Center, which provides comprehensive care for disorders of hip and knee joints, with a specialty in surgical treatment.
