Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (Philadelphia). First established in 1991, today the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson is a National Cancer Institute-designated Cancer Center that includes six research programs and approximately 150 physicians and scientists specializing in cancer. It is a Blue Distinction Center for Complex & Rare Cancers and was ranked as one of the top 15 hospitals in the nation for cancer care by CareChex this year. The center recently announced a new 10-story, $100 million outpatient cancer center to be completed by 2017.
