Scripps Clinic physicians provide orthopedic care to the San Diego Padres Major League Baseball team, and the Scripps Health system boasts more than 135 board-certified orthopedic surgeons. Also located in La Jolla, The Shiley Center for Orthopedic Research and Education was there Scripps researchers pioneered a new joint replacement technology known as the electronic knee.
