Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (Columbus). The OSU Wexner Medical Center’s 150-bed Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital was ranked No. 31 for cardiology and heart surgery in the nation by U.S. News & World Report for 2015-16, the only hospital in central Ohio to make the list. The Heart Hospital has also received Magnet recognition from the American Nurses Credentialing Center, helping OSU Wexner Medical Center become the first system in central Ohio to have a hospital receive the recognition. The medical center has also won the University HealthSystem Consortium’s Bernard A. Birnbaum, MD, Quality Leadership Award for three consecutive years.
